This double sided swing-sign was a recreation of their old sign. The pub wanted to keep the design from their old sign, but they wanted a brand new sign (the old had been disposed of accidentally), but artificially aged to look similar to how it did at the time of the refurb. ​

This project involved alot of research as the only picture they had of how they wanted it to look was very low resolution, and involved imagining how vibrant the sign would have been originally painted before ageing. The Pictorial was painted and then the lettering was gilded with 23ct gold leaf before the whole sign was aged down with scenic tecniques and then varnished to give it a longer life.
